1. 测试形式
（1）自我介绍
（2）回答考官提出的相关问题
（3）就某一给定话题进行演讲或两三个人就同一话题进行辩论。
2.测试内容
（1）考研相关话题：本科院校、专业学习、报考原因、研究构想、未来规划；
（2）其他个人话题：兴趣、特长、性格特征、家庭、家乡；

Thank you. Just now you mentioned that you have read some books about translation. Can you tell us something about one or two of them?
Answer:
Definitely. But I’m not sure that I can put their names correctly in English. I’ll have a try. First, I have read the book _________________, or《__________》 by Professor____________, and _______________________ or《___________》 by Professor____________. They both taught me a lot about ____________________. Question 2（研究设想）:
Do you have any specific plan for your further study / if you are admitted?
Answer:
I should admit that I do not have a mature plan at present. But I have some sincere wishes.First, I wish that I can learn as much as possible from my supervisors about the theory of translation. Secondly, I wish that I can have opportunities to get involved in the practice of translation. Anyway, I shall focus my energy on my major studyin the coming years. And it is my true wish that I can publish two or more articles in some professional journals under the instruction of my supervisor or I can
collaborate with him or her. Thank you.
Question 3（假如失利）:
What will you do if you fail this time?
Answer:
Well, first, I will feel sad, of course. But then I will think about it. There can be two
reasons for my failure. One is that my score of written exam is not high enough. The other is my English is not good enough. So I shall try to improve myself in these two aspects. I shall try to consolidate my basis of professional knowledge. Besides, I shall spend more time promoting my level of English. Anyway, I will not say die. I shall try my best to get enrolled in my dream university and further my study.
Question 4（未来规划）:
Do you think you will study further or find a job after achieving the master degree?
Answer:
Well, I think it depends. If my supervisor happens to find me competent in studies and I have profound interest in one specific aspect of research, I shall study further and work for a doctoral degree. And if there happens to be a job that can give full play to what I have learnt, I may consider taking it. But it does not follow that I shall stop studying. I shall continue with my study on the job. Question5：What qualifications have you obtained?
Answer:
Well, I do not have many qualifications, but I have passed the National Computer Rank Examination / CET-4/6 and got the Certificate for Grade One/Two/Three/Four.
Question 6：How do you afford your tuition?
Answer:
Well, basically, like most others, I depend on my parents, but occasionally I took some part-time jobs to relieve their burden.
Question 7：What impressed you the most when you were at university?
Answer:
Well, let me see. Actually, there are too many things that impressed me. If I have to pick one, I should say it is the first class activity. We made dumplings by ourselvestogether. It was really a good chance for us to know each other. I think I will also take an active part in such social activities when I pursue my graduate study.

intended study program?
Answer:
Um, I believe that I can. I know that my English is not proficient now, but I am catching up, by reading and listening more in English. For example, I search articles of my major in English on line and read them. I also persist in listening to VOA and BBC on my phone. Therefore, I believe that I will be able to cope with the English demands in the future.
Question 11：If there were an opportunity of studying abroad, what would you do?
Answer:
I think I will take the opportunity, because I can have access to more advanced knowledge and concepts, which will help my present study. Besides, I can promote my English level in this way, which will also contribute to my research work. But, of course, I shall return in time, for my ultimate purpose is to serve my mother country.

Um, generally I would describe myself as easy-going, positive and humorous. But talking about the strongest point, I should say it is my ambition and aggressiveness. I often get myself busy with many tasks. But sometimes, there are so many things to do that some of them cannot be completed until the deadline. Therefore, I am determined to strike a balance in my work in the future.

First, I should say I have a wide range of hobbies. If I have to pick one, I should say it is swimming. It can not only strengthen my body, but also relax my mind. Besides, I love reading, which can widen my scope of knowledge.
Question 3（关于家庭）:
Can you tell us something about your family and how they support your decision on
studying further？
Answer:
Sure. Actually I am from the countryside, my mother a farmer and my father a worker in a small factory. I feel much indebted to them, for they have exerted their utmost to provide me and my sister with any education that they can afford.
Though I tried to relieve their burden by taking more than one part-time job in college, I still feel that I owe much to them. However, when I finally informed them of my decision to study further after graduation, they showed me their support without any hesitation. There is no end, as they say, to knowledge. As long as I have the desire and ability, I should study more. Only in this way can I realize my true value and make more contribution to the society. I just cannot thank them enough.

Can you tell us something about your hometown?
Answer:
Sure. Actually I am from Rongcheng, a county-level city in Weihai. Well, there is just too much to say about my hometown. Located on the eastern end of Shandong Peninsula, it is where people see the sunrise earliest in the morning along the east coastline of China. As a coastal city, it abounds in seafood of many kinds. Besides, it is known for its apples and peanuts. Historically, there have appeared many brave soldiers and generals in Rongcheng. It boasts the largest number of generals among all counties in China. As the high-speed railway extended to this city, it has attracted an increasing number of tourists and immigrants with its agreeable climate and such gorgeous scenic spots as Chengshantou and the swan lake.
