埃铁项目两期加起来共12个车站，正泰为每一个站点提供相应的配套，需要低压配电柜共计220多台、中压配电柜150多台、低压配电箱800多台、全封闭绝缘母线槽900多米。从项目谈判到正式实施，从图纸转化、技术沟通，到方案推进、保产保供，正泰国际埃及子公司负责人马胜冬带领团队不断创新，为项目提供定制化的电力产品和技术方案。据正泰国际商务项目经理王锋估算，他一年内参与了不下450场会议，最长的一次是从下午3点一直开到凌晨12点。

Innovation guarantees power supply for the light rail in Egypt

2022年3月28日，埃及斋月十日城铁路项目AB段顺利通车。这是埃及第一条交流供电制式的电气化铁路，根据2017年与中国中铁—中航国际联合体签署的项目合作协议，正泰集团股份有限公司为项目提供配电箱、配电柜、低压柜等电器产品。埃铁项目两期加起来共12个车站，正泰为每一个站点提供相应的配套，需要低压配电柜共计220多台、中压配电柜150多台、低压配电箱800多台、全封闭绝缘母线槽900多米。

On March 28, 2022, Section A and Section B of the 10th of Ramadan Railway Project in Egypt were opened to traffic. This is the first electrified railway with the AC power supply system in Egypt. According to the project cooperation agreement signed with the CREC-AVIC INTL Consortium in 2017, Chint Group has provided distribution boxes, distribution cabinets, low-voltage cabinets and other electrical products for the project. There are 12 stations in the two phases of the light rail project in Egypt. Chint has provided supporting facilities for each station, including more than 220 low-voltage distribution cabinets, over 150 medium-voltage distribution cabinets, over 800 distribution boxes and fully enclosed and fully insulated bus duct with more than 900m.

Innovation is the key to Chint’s success in the 10th of Ramadan Railway Project. From negotiation to implementation, from drawing conversion and technical communication to solution promotion, production guarantee and supply guarantee, Ma Shengdong, head of Egyptian subsidiary of CHINT Global, has led the team to continuously innovate and provide customized power products and technical solutions for the project.

“我们把埃及的技术标准传给国内团队，再由国内团队进行下一步的内容深化和产品方案设计，定制化地实现轨交技术系统中客户的需求，这也是正泰的一次全新探索。”马胜冬说。

“We took the technical standards of Egypt back to the Chinese team, and then the team made improvement and developed product design accordingly to meet the needs of clients for the rail transit technology system through customization. This is also Chint’s new move for exploration. We have innovated products and solutions,” said Ma Shengdong.

设计院技术对接会

正泰负责图纸工作的团队设计出上万张图纸，并根据客户需求多次通宵修改，设计出不同版本图纸以契合客户理解习惯。为了使产品符合埃及客户要求和当地标准，团队跟设计院和前方监理开了不计其数的会议。据正泰国际商务项目经理王锋估算，他一年内参与了不下450场会议，最长的一次是从下午3点一直开到凌晨12点。

Chint’s team in charge of drawing has designed tens of thousands of drawings, and revised them overnight for many times according to clients’ needs. It has designed different versions of drawings for clients to understand more easily. The team held a number of meetings with the design institute and the front-line supervisor to make the product fit the demand of Egyptian clients and meet local standards. Wang Feng, commercial project manager of CHINT Global, estimated that he had attended more than 450 meetings in the year, with the longest meeting lasting from 3 p.m. to midnight.

初到埃及，正泰的发展之路并不顺利。当时，埃及客户对“中国品牌”的认知和印象，仅停留在本国贸易商从中国带回的小商品。如何打破信息壁垒，实现信息同步及客户认可，是摆在正泰埃及团队面前的一道难题。

Chint’s development did not go well when it first came to Egypt. At that time, speaking of Chinese brands, Egyptian people were still reminded of small commodities brought back from China by Egyptian traders. How to break down the information barrier, synchronize information and earn clients’ recognition was a difficulty for Chint’s team in Egypt.

马胜冬和团队希望搭建一座“沟通桥”，通过正泰的“未来工厂”“智能产线”物联网传感器产业园等硬件，直观地展现公司实力，扭转埃及客户对“中国品牌”的刻板印象。

Ma Shengdong and his team hope to build a “bridge for communication”. Through Chint’s hardware such as the future factory, the intelligent production line, and CHINT IoT and Sensors Industrial Park, Ma and his team demonstrated in an intuitive way the company’s strength and reversed Egyptian clients’ impression of Chinese brands.

正泰埃及子公司也协同埃及合资工厂组织客户参观工厂，展现正泰本土产供销、物流、售后一体化的服务体系。

Chint’s subsidiary in Egypt has also worked with the joint venture factory in Egypt to organize clients to visit the factory and show them the integrated service system of Chint’s local production, supply and sale, logistics and after-sales service.

原本，带客户到中国实地参观考察正泰的产业园、工厂是最有效的办法，但疫情让计划无法成行。正当计划受阻，几近停滞之时，正泰国际在上海总部举办线上导览会直播活动，给马胜冬很大的启发。正泰埃及团队联动国内多个部门，策划了上海、温州、滨海、开罗四城联动直播，让客户“走进”正泰展厅、生产基地、自动化产线、国际物流园，并现场做阿拉伯语、英语的技术讲解和技术答疑。

Guiding clients to Chint’s industrial parks and factories in China was supposed to be the most effective way in the first place, but ended up in failure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When the project was hampered and nearly stagnated, CHINT Global held an online guided tour through livestreaming at its headquarters in Shanghai, inspiring Ma Shengdong to a great extent. Chint’s team in Egypt has joined hands with various departments in China to plan for the joint livestreaming in Shanghai, Wenzhou, Binhai and Cairo, showed clients Chint’s exhibition hall, production base, automatic production line and international logistics park, and explained technical issues and answered technical questions on site in Arabic and English.

After the customized “Chint Cloud Tour”, the representative of the owner recognized the strength of Chint more deeply and invited Chint as the project supplier to provide low- and medium-voltage electric products for 12 stations of Section A and B of the project, including low-voltage distribution cabinets, distribution boxes, 24kV medium-voltage cabinets and other products and technical solutions. Chint’s low- and medium-voltage products were officially approved by the National Authority for Tunnels (NAT) of Egypt.

“这是我们所有参与者的一次全新挑战，项目涉及多方，我们需要有效沟通、精准判断、快速生产、紧急交付，联动作业，少一个环节就可能影响整体项目进度。”正泰国际副总裁程志辉表示，“如此大型复杂的项目，既要埃及前方快速响应，更需要国内大后方全力支持，各职能部门紧密配合”。

“It was a new challenge for us participants. The project involved many parties. We needed effective communication, accurate judgment, rapid production, emergency delivery and multi-party joint operation. One less link may affect the overall project progress,” said Cheng Zhihui, Vice President of CHINT Global, “Such a large and complex project required rapid front-line response from Egypt and full support from China, and all functional departments should work closely with each other.”

“我们特别为这个项目成立的工作群组里，有前方及后台的同事、领导，始终确保前方的需求能得到及时有效解决。”马胜冬说。

“The working group we have set up specifically for this project includes colleagues at the battle front and home front as well as leaders and employees. It has always ensured that the needs sent from the battle front are addressed in a timely and effective manner,” said Ma Shengdong.

“埃铁项目是我们团队的一次大练兵，也是中国企业抱团发展的一次全新体验。”程志辉说，在项目联合管理部的领导下，正泰埃及团队克服认知差异、技术差异，完成了疫情下的紧急交付，实现了多方协同作业。

“The 10th of Ramadan Railway Project is a great training session for the whole team and a new experience for Chinese enterprises to grow together.” According to Cheng Zhihui, under the leadership of the Joint Project Management Department, Chint’s team in Egypt overcame the differences in cognition and technologies, completed the emergency delivery despite the pandemic, and carried out multi-party collaborative operation.

在这场“保交付”的任务中，马胜冬早已把自己视为“项目联合体”的一员。

Ma Shengdong has already considered himself as a member of the “project consortium” in the project delivery.

从正泰埃及子公司到项目联合体办公室往返车程需要4个小时，这是马胜冬和其团队每日通勤的路程。他和团队还经常顶着烈日驾车两三个小时，到项目建设现场与客户沟通，对客户做技术交底。当遇到交流不畅时，团队充分发挥在当地经营多年的优势，主动担起沟通衔接工作，助力推进项目的整体进度。

It takes four hours to drive from Egyptian subsidiary of CHINT Global to the project consortium office. This is the route for Ma Shengdong and his team to commute. Ma and his team often needed to drive for two or three hours in the scorching sun to communicate with the client at the project site and make technical clarifications to the client. In case of miscommunication, Chint’s team in Egypt gives full play to its advantages in local operation for many years, taken the initiative in communicating and coordinating, and promoted the overall progress of the project together.

正泰国际中压交付项目经理祝宝亮还清晰地记得，埃铁项目中的24kV中压柜，不是标准常规的柜型，正泰产品结构和元器件的匹配配合都需要在工厂进行预调整。客户给出的时间非常紧急，正常情况下，30面的完成周期是45天，客户给的时间是20~30天交140面。面对挑战，正泰迎难而上，积极调配国内资源到埃及生产线上，和中航国际客户部、业务部的同事从早到晚坚守在工厂，确保产品如期交付。

Zhu Baoliang, medium-voltage cabinet delivery project manager, also clearly remembered that the 24kV medium-voltage cabinet of the project in Egypt was not a standard type of cabinet, and the matching of the structure and component should be adjusted in advance in the factory. The timetable given by the client was very pressing. Under normal circumstances, 30 cabinets can be completed in 45 days, while the client asked to deliver 140 cabinets in 20 to 30 days. To address this challenge, Chint allocated domestic resources to the production line in Egypt, and worked tirelessly at the factory with colleagues from the Client Department and the Business Department of AVIC from dawn to dusk to ensure that products could be delivered on schedule.

Chint’s sales, technology, production, quality, enforcement of contract, delivery, etc. have been rapidly assembled and jointly promoted to make the project a complete success.

在埃铁项目中，正泰顺利完成跨国项目对于技术解析、紧急生产、紧急交付等能力的多项考验，积累了海外大型复杂项目的管理经验，提升了项目执行能力，为后续“中国制造”在轨交领域顺利出海，奠定了坚实的基础。

In the 10th of Ramadan Railway Project, Chint has successfully completed multiple tests such as technical analysis, emergency production, and emergency delivery. It has accumulated experience in management in overseas large-scale complex projects and improved the ability to implement projects, laying a solid foundation for the smooth overseas operation of the subsequent “made in China” projects in the field of rail transit.
